I’m sortof curious how you figure one job is more difficult than others? Yes, physical labor is physically demanding, but I work in an office, and it is just as challenging as any physical jobs I have had, and I have worked some tough jobs before.
Answer by Brendan
No, because then the easy jobs would be worth less money, and less people would choose to work at them. Even if they are easy, we need people doing them to support the people doing the “harder” jobs.
The other problem is that who decides which jobs are easier and which are harder? A CEO of a big company might say his job is hard, because he has to make big decisions, and then a janitor could say his job is a hundred times harder then a CEO’s because he has to actually do manual labor. If the world used a system like the one you described above, it would become a very corrupt and unstable environment, in my opinion.

The ” easy” jobs… like lawyers, research scientists, engineers, professors, medical personel, government employees, judges, etc….. they should get minimum wage, right?????
Get a clue.

Thats why in England there is a massive, amount of Polish labourers, they will accept less pay for more physical work.

Well, since the people with the “easy” office jobs devise the strategies and do the deals that result in Construction and other “hard” jobs, then the easy office job people do all the accounting to make sure the company is profitable and then write the paychecks for everyone, good luck with that. Why would they pay the workers more than they pay themselves?
Would the plumbers know how to put together a million construction project? Would the electricians and the sledgehammer slingers be able to float an IPO on Wall ST to finance everyones wages?
Good luck with that.
