Q&A: If you get a degree in Medical Office Assistant, can you work in a place as just and office assistant?
Like, do you have to work in a hospital or doctorsoffice, can you work somewhere else as a secretary with this degree.
Im trying to choose between Office Assistant or Medical Office Assistant.
I would like to be able to wither work in a medical place or a non medical place.
If i get office assistant, i cant work in a medical place, but if i get medical office assistant it seems like you could do either type of place.

If you want to develop those skills that would make you have the opportunity for a position in either a medical or non-medical setting, you would be better served to take the Medical Office Assistant course of study. The principles for that type of work are applicable to almost any business field, but you will close some doors on your chances for positions within medical offices without that specific course of study.
