I edited the following
fun youtube video!Polycom CX300 Office Communicator Phone First Impression – Part 2 Enterprise Voice Features
was very impressed with the Polycom CX300 Office Communicator phone. I thot I would follow an initial review with a review of the OCS Enterprise Voice features specifically. -A large indicator on the phone color indicates presence status -Redial, Hold and back space buttons -Message Waiting Indication light -Picking up phone makes Office Communicator pickup and hangup does the same. -The display also shows the Presence–With OCS Presence is king!
If you are looking for a hosted OCS with Enterprise Voice www.landiscomputer.com does provide this as a hosted solutions. -Very solid feel, sits firmly on your desk -Nice white, backlit, Hi-res graphical display -Great Wide Band audio and speaker phone -Mike picks up great -No drivers required -Integral USB cable Cons -If you don’t have OCS Enterprise Voice turned on, picking up the handset does NOT answer Communicator call or hangup. (you need to click on Communcator to answer) -On same token the presence LED/Logo on the CX300 doesn’t work either -Need a PC for the phone to work. @gamerzone – An alert commentor on my blog says they used the unit (or the plantronics version) with Counterpath softphone. This would work with any SIP pbx. I havent tested it.
Hi Matt – Is this running solely on LYNC?.. or do you have it running of another PBX integrated with LYNC?
