Question: I would like to plant a garden on top of a 30-story office building, how much weight can a roof support.?
I would like to know general information about the U.S. building codes concerning the minimum load bearing limits of flat roofs on high rise commercial buildings (i.e. 100lbs/sqft. or 500lbs/sqft?) in urban areas.

check with the engineering firm and architects who constructed and designed the building, and if you happen to own it they will probably let you know if it is possible, based on your calculations.
