These people live to work. For most people it is the other way around. We work to live. I feel sorry for him and his family. The only thing he is getting is money, but he never has time to enjoy any of it.

Foolish and sad. As they say, has anyone ever, on their deathbed, said I wish I’d spent more time at the office?

Fool. I would take less income and family time, but those type live to work. They like the power rush they get from being #1.

If he really would like to have more time for himself and his family, and at the same time create an income greater than his present income, then he should come and talk to me. I will introduce him to some friends who have completely changed their lives around they are also in Marketing but now work from home and are extremely successful.

Hard work is never wrong especially when you work smart at the same time.

My wife works in a retirement community and is reminded constantly that “you can’t take it with you.”

At the end of his life he’ll have wealth, but he’ll also have an ex-wife and several estranged children who want nothing to do with him.

Family and friends above all.

Answer by JJ
we all like money but free time to spend it with family and friends is important too.
I understand people who work this hard for a few years because they want to get promoted or buy a house but long term I think it is silly to work that hard.

Wouldn’t it be cool if all the Office applications worked online, cross-browser from anywhere with AJAX and/or Silverlight? Or maybe even from your cellphone? What would be even better is if they had real time collaboration, integrating the rich client with the web clients. Well, wish no more because all of the above is going to be a part of the next Office Suite. Want to see how it works?
