Wow.. This is amazing..
Very nice setup! Mine’s only a 17" connected to a 15" MBP. 24" is definitely the way to go.
Isn’t it possible to raise the Dell display to the height of the iMac? I think about buying the same display for my iMac.
@MagnusK: the Dell display has different border width than iMac display, plus the adjustment of menu bar height.. so the Dell display is lowered to match the best display-to-dispay window dragging
so jealous lah…
i wan that iMac too…. and hd display screen….

Seen on my Flickr home page. (?)
Out of these two which one is your favorite?
Wow, nice setup. I have only Dell 19". Some more analog
Is the monitor adjustable? can it be aligned with the imac or is that as high as the Dell stand can go?
@M.Valle: the monitor height is adjustable but very limited. as you might noticed, I put something under the monitor to make it same height as the iMac
oh so that’s pretty much as high as the monitor goes?
@M.Valle: yes, it is
Nice! I’ve had the same monitor for about a year, and I just ordered a 24" iMac this weekend so soon I’ll have a similar setup.
Tell me, does the side multicard reader on the Dell work with the iMac? I’ve heard conflicting reports.
One other question: when the Dell was extended at full height (because I see you’ve lowered it after placing it on the drink holder; I know mine will extend higher than that), how much vertical difference was there between the two screens? If it’s less than 1.1" something like this might be an elegant solution.
@rogersmj: when the dell 24" extended fully and do not place anything under it, it is about 1.6 inch shorter than iMac
@rogersmj: the side multicard reader is just like a normal USB card reader. Yes, it is working with iMac. But, it does not support SDHC cards.

what kind of specs do you need on your mac to run the second monitor?
@Dr. Robot: any Mac can run the second monitor. You need a video cable though.
what graphics card is your imac running?
@Dr. Robot: ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro
