   Ah! Diagrams. Diagrams and list. It is the stuff that holds the world together. I have found Illustrator to be the perfect pre-IKEA tool. I measure up the room I’m shopping for, and then draw in the size of the furnitures in the right size, and then I have hours and hours of fun, rotating them around the drawing. Rearranging the room a million times without any heavy lifting. I totally recommend it.

   Oh, well, Illustrator would have been a good tool for this project, but (1) I was trying to stay away from the computer, and (2) my printer doesn’t work. I needed a drawing I could take to the store, so I got out the graph paper notebook and mechanical pencil. It’s more fun this way, anyhow.
