36 years old / Im studying Criminal Justice ‘college’ // Im NOT a USA citizen yet, … do I need to be a USA citizen in order to be a Parole Officer ?! … thanks !

No, you do not, however you usually MUST be a resident in the district in which you work as a parole officer.

That may depend on the laws of the State you will be working in unless you plan to be a federal parole officer. In Illinois, I think you have to have worked for the State and possibly worked in the prison system for awhile in order to apply for that position. However, it may differ in CA. You can find out for sure by going to your state’s government web site and looking up job requirements. An easier way might be to just call the center where you would apply for a job as a parole officer. They would likely have the most accurate information for all the requirements. It might be a good idea to get the entire list so you will know everything you need to do to get the job you want. Good luck!
